Choose the Opening Mechanism
We offer a range of opening systems for aluminum patio doors. Various premium sliding options that simply glide to the side are available, for example. A bifold option is then another possibility and makes for particularly full openings, while a lift & slide system is a further popular choice. Whatever system you choose, durable function and ease of use are a given.
Aluminum Patio Door Profiles
For each door system, we offer various models, also known as “profiles”, that differ in terms of their look, installation depth, and thermal performance. In terms of insulation, this is measured by the u-value – the lower the figure, the less heat will be transferred and the more energy-efficient the product will be.

At Neuffer, depending on their opening mechanism, sliding doors can come in five different materials – vinyl, wood, aluminum, aluminum clad wood, and aluminum vinyl. No one material is necessarily better than another; Rather, each option offers its own unique benefits. vinyl, for example, is available with a pure sliding mechanism, a tilt and slide option, or a lift and slide one.
It is a modern material that can easily provide very good thermal insulation and low maintenance. Like aluminum, its sleek surfaces can be coated in a timber decor to add warmth to interiors. Wood, on the other hand, requires more upkeep but natural sturdiness is a given as well as truly bespoke grain patterns and textures that add authentic charm to doors.
The material is available with our bifold, tilt and slide, and lift and slide systems. For customers who want to benefit from the strong impact resistance and durability of metal but who are also attracted by the high insulation values of vinyl or the beauty of timber, our material combinations, aluminum clad wood or aluminum vinyl may be ideal.
